At Five Dock Public School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests.

Our extra-curricular highlights
These activities are held before school or at lunchtimes.
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Music
Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. They can join in concerts, art shows and drama activities.
An organised group that promotes gardening activities for students, offering hands-on learning about planting, nurturing, and harvesting.
The globally-recognised Kitchen Garden Program for Primary Schools is a fun, hands-on learning program delivering curriculum integration and a focus on student health, wellbeing, collaboration and leadership.
A program that encourages students to connect with their heritage and identity.
Minecraft enthusiasts can come together to learn, create, build and play.
Run after school on Thursdays. The first half of each class consists of an interactive lecture from the chess coach. In the second half, students play games to put their newly learned strategies into practice.
The ICPA languages program serves the community through teaching Arabic at NSW schools after-hours and on weekends. Students receive tuition based upon current Syllabus and textbooks, approved by the Department of Education and Training.
Breakfast Club enables all students at school to enjoy a nutritious breakfast, allowing them to engage and participate fully in all the educational and social opportunities that school offers.
